ENAO is proud to announce the decision to award ALERT Centre Clinical Laboratory accreditation against the requirements of ISO 15189, Medical laboratories – Requirements for quality and competence for the competent performance of specific tests which will be listed in its Scope of Accreditation.
The decision to award accreditation was taken by the Accreditation Approval Committee (AAC) which met on 14 November 2013 which reviewed all the outcomes and recommendations that were provided by the assessment team that conducted the on-site assessment over several days. The objective of the assessment was to verify competence in the performance of tests through objective evidence and to assess for compliance of the ALERT system against the requirements of ISO 15189.
Well done ALERT and to its management and staff who have worked intensely over the past 12 months or so in developing their technical control processes and management systems. ALERT was assisted by the GIZ team of medical consultants under the National Quality Infrastructure project.
